Apprenticeships

With the advance of the new apprenticeships schemes being promoted by the Construct Association, GCL has successfully placed their first apprentice onto the carpentry course, which is now nearing the half way point.

The course content, the facilities and the attitude of the training personal together with their hands on experience has been so impressive we have now enrolled three more apprentices onto the second course which commenced at the end of March 2009.

Investment into training the youth of today in core building activities is a real issue for the construction industry. Today's issues are going to become tomorrow’s problem. GCL are keen to play their part in investing into future skills which is why we are actively supporting the apprenticeships initiative of Construct
