GCL gets Silver

GCL has been awarded the Silver standard by Investors in People, in recognition of its continued development and improvement. The bronze, silver and gold standards represent a new approach by IIP into a 'business performance partner' for those organisations that achieve their accreditation.

Safety Recognised

Willmott Dixon Housing have recognised GCL's achievements in Health & Safety by ranking us within the Top Ten Subcontractors within it's Safety Performance League.  We thank Willmotts for taking the time and effort to acknowledge the performance of the subcontractors working for them. Achieving a top ten position represents another mile-stone for GCL however we understand that constantly advancing the Health & Safety ethos is the primary way of ensuring a safe working environment for our Clients, the public and our staff.

New Home

Due to the continued expansion of GCL, we are delighted to announce the purchase of our new offices at Oaks Court, Borehamwood. Our new offices, which are in addition to our yards in St Albans and Smallford, house our Commercial, Construction, Technical, Health & Safety, Accounts and Administration departments but also provide ample scope for GCL to expand over the next decade.

Building on Education

GCL has developed work based Degree and Master Courses in conjunction with Middlesex University. Having run both courses for over two years, we are delighted to announce that our first Masters in Applied Construction Management has been achieved. The emphasis is on work based learning thereby benefiting both GCL and the individuals. Congratulations are also due to our site based workforce who passed over 200 NVQ's.
