Local charity Jubilee House were able to purchase two new vehicles with the support of Ground Construction Limited.
The two new vehicles will quickly be put to good use, providing wheelchair accessible transport for service-users of Jubilee House who have learning and physical disabilities.
Jubilee House offers care services for adults and children with learning disabilities, including providing short-breaks and support with daily activities, such as shopping. The new vehicles will help broaden the range of activities service-users can access within the local community and allow them to try new experiences and generally get out and about more.
Trevor Diviney, Managing Director of Ground Construction Ltd presented a cheque for £35,400 to local charity Jubilee House. The proceeds were raised from the construction company’s annual golf day fundraiser.
Jon Pratten, CEO of Jubilee House said: “We were delighted that Ground Construction Ltd chose Jubilee House as the charity beneficiary for its golf day. The amount raised came as a real surprise to us and will make a huge difference to the people we support. We were in real need of new wheelchair-friendly vehicles for our service users, which we have now been able to purchase. As a local charity, helping local people, we are hugely appreciative of the generous support of local-based companies such as Ground Construction Ltd, who enable us to support “happy and fulfilled lives for adults and children with learning disabilities”.
Trevor Diviney, Founder and Managing Director of Ground Construction Ltd said: “We are pleased to have raised such a tremendous amount for charity and especially pleased that the monies are going to a very worthy local charity in Jubilee House.
