After 20 years of running GCL Paddy has made the decision that it is the right time for him to take life easier and retire from managing the business. Paddy’s retirement will take effect from 31st December 2018.
Paddy will not retire completely as he will take full ownership of Ground Skips Limited and Ground Waste Recycling Limited and the on-going management of those businesses.
All other businesses within the Group will remain within GCL.
Paddy has been an integral part of GCL over the last 20 years and a major factor in the success of the business. It has been a pleasure to work with him which has turned into an extremely strong friendship which will continue after 2018.
I am sure you will all join me in wishing Paddy all the very best for the future which you will be able to do in person over the next six months during his site visits.
In preparation of Paddy’s retirement, a Board of Directors have been in place for the last three and a half years. There will be some changes in responsibilities among the Board to cover the gap left by Paddy’s departure. Full details of the changes will be released in due course.
